Book Review: The Story Factor
“People don’t want more information. They are up to their eyeballs in information. They want faith—faith in you, your goals, your success, in the story you tell.”
Stories are important to what we do. In fact, I’d argue that they are the most important tool in the nonprofit’s toolkit.
A while back, I recommended the book The Story Factor to a friend and colleague, Rob Zinkan. Rob and I serve on the board of directors for CASE Indiana and he is a forward-thinking marketing/advancement professional who appreciates the power of story. He recently asked me to contribute a book review for his blog, University Advancement, and of course I agreed.
